You Asked, We Answered

Welcome to the FAQs section! Here, you’ll find answers to some common questions about me and my travels. I’m Fabiana, the creator behind this travel blog, born in Rome and now living in Milan. With a passion for exploring the world, I’m constantly planning my next adventure right after finishing the last one!

Through my blog, I love sharing travel stories, hidden gems, and reflections from my experiences. I also have a deep interest in Native American history and spirituality, and I was fortunate enough to participate in sacred ceremonies in South Dakota. My favorite destinations? Italy and the U.S., where I enjoy exploring the contrast between their natural beauty and vibrant cultures.

I’m always on the lookout for places that offer a mix of culture, nature, and unique experiences. Whether it’s exploring hidden gems or visiting well-known landmarks, I aim for destinations that inspire curiosity and a sense of adventure. I also love hearing suggestions from my readers!

Traveling frequently requires careful budgeting and planning. I prioritize affordable options, look for flight deals, and stay in a mix of accommodations, from budget-friendly hotels to local guesthouses. I also love slow travel, staying in one place longer to cut costs while truly experiencing the culture.

I never leave without my camera, a good pair of walking shoes, and a portable charger. For organization, packing cubes are a must, and I always have a travel journal to jot down thoughts and experiences along the way.

Yes, I personally plan each trip, from researching destinations to organizing transportation and accommodation. I enjoy the process of crafting the perfect itinerary, but I also leave room for spontaneity once I arrive at a destination.

Start small and don’t stress over perfection. Be flexible and open to new experiences, as the best memories often come from unexpected moments. Research ahead of time, but don’t over-plan—sometimes the best adventures happen when you go off-script!

It’s all about organization and time management! I plan my trips around my work schedule, and sometimes I take shorter trips or work remotely while on the road. I also make sure to set aside time for both exploring and working so I can stay productive without missing out on the experience.

I often travel solo, which allows me to set my own pace and fully immerse myself in each destination. However, I also love traveling with boyfriends when possible—each type of trip offers a different, enriching experience.

That’s a tough question! Each place has its own charm, but I have a soft spot for the U.S., particularly its vast landscapes and cultural diversity. Italy, of course, holds a special place in my heart as well, especially for its historical beauty and incredible food.

I always try to learn a few basic phrases before visiting a new country—it helps a lot in connecting with locals. Plus, translation apps can be lifesavers. If language becomes a challenge, a smile and some hand gestures go a long way!

I recommend going beyond the main tourist spots and talking to locals whenever possible. Staying in locally owned accommodations, visiting markets, and joining cultural tours led by locals are great ways to discover authentic experiences that go off the beaten path.
